Short and without the legal padding — what this site measures and what it does not.
What this site does not do
- It does not use cookies to track visitors.
- It does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any other advertising or profiling tools.
- It has no registration, no login and no user accounts.
- It has no contact form or any other database storing your data.
- It does not sell or share data with third parties.
That is also why there is no annoying cookie consent bar here. There is nothing to consent to.
What is measured
For basic traffic statistics I use Umami — an analytics tool I run on my own server. It collects only aggregate, anonymous data:
- which page was viewed,
- where the visitor came from (a search engine or a social network, for example),
- approximate country, device type and browser,
- clicks on selected links — for example a publication DOI, a ResearchGate or Google Scholar profile, the e-mail button and the sharing buttons.
This data cannot identify an individual person. No cookies are stored, no cross-site profiles are built, and the data never leaves my server.
External links
The site links to external services — publishers of scientific articles, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, LinkedIn or X, for instance. Once you follow such a link, that service’s rules apply rather than these.
